In a small town north of Mazatlan a woodshop bustles with activity. Cooled
by breezes off the Sea of Cortez, craftsmen are transforming raw
mesquite logs into original works of art. They create doors... beautiful,
handmade, solid mesquite wood doors. Over the years they have handcrafted
hundreds of them, but their shop remains little known outside the area.
A volkswagen motor hums along, turning a three foot sawblade, as workmen cut
mesquite logs into planks to be dried in the kiln. In a shed nearby, craftsmen
are cutting, routing, planing, fitting and sanding. The floor is deep in
sawdust and shavings. The atmosphere is relaxed, the aroma is distinct, and the
doors they create are beautiful. These craftsmen stamp their name on every door
they create.
We admire these craftsmen, not only for their skill and attention to detail,
but also for their integrity and reliability. Since we first installed their
doors in a spec home ten years ago, they have never let us down. That spec home
sold immediately and the mesquite doors were a contributing factor. They set our
home apart. Over the years, we have used their doors and sold many more here in
the Southwest simply by word of mouth.
The richness, character, and beauty of these doors transcend regional architecture
and provide the most striking finishing touch where first impressions are made -
at your front door. In addition to its beauty, of all North American hardwoods,
mesquite also has the most desirable physical properties for quality doors that
will endure in all climates.
Cienega Creek now offers these mesquite wood doors nationwide at wholesale
prices. We stock the most popular styles at our rural shipping center just north
of the border. We are not set up for walk-in traffic - we just sell beautiful
handmade doors at prices you may think are misprints. They are not, and quality
will never be compromised.
